Job summary

Intertek is seeking a Lead Product Designer to join the People Assurance team remotely in the United States. You will work with the Head of Design, Product, Engineering and other designers to design for frontline employees, managers and administrators, with initial focus on Wisetail coverage.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing digital products or software.
• Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction, visual communication or related field.
• Experience leading design direction for a digital product or major user journey.
• Experience designing product interfaces in Figma and building reusable components or a design system.
• Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering to carry designs through implementation.
• Experience guiding other designers through design reviews or mentoring.
• Portfolio link or PDF showing a shipped digital product or substantial user workflow, submitted with the application.
• This is a remote position; must reside in the United States and be eligible to work.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design direction for Convergence product areas and align with customer needs and business priorities.
• Create polished interfaces with strong hierarchy, typography, layout and detail.
• Use sketches, wireframes and interactive prototypes to explore ideas and test decisions.
• Apply UX thinking to journeys, navigation and task flows across platforms.
• Develop reusable components and patterns within design systems for consistency.
• Work with research to understand workflows and test key assumptions.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure usability, accessibility and visual quality.
• Lead design reviews and mentor other designers, coordinating with contractors to align patterns.
