Job summary

Google's Pixel team is seeking a Lead Product Architect to identify, integrate and validate new technologies for future Pixel devices. You will work with a cross-functional team to define concepts and ensure manufacturability and scalability.

You will collaborate with industrial designers and product managers on early definitions, discuss engineering tradeoffs across antennas, sensors, silicon and batteries, and help deliver iconic design and performance.

Qualifications

  • 12 years of mechanical design experience across plastic/metal parts and assemblies.
  • 12 years of CAD experience with 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or SolidWorks.
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and validate new technologies with design and product teams on early product definitions.
  • Prototype designs and navigate cross-disciplinary trade-offs involving batteries, antennas, and sensors.
  • Collaborate with peer product architecture leads to stage technology development across multiple years of future products.
  • Sell the product goal, build consensus with leadership, and generate excitement for solving complex technical problems.
  • Partner with global New Product Introduction (NPI) engineering to transition new product architectures to market.
