Job summary

Google is seeking a Lead Product Architect for the Pixel team in Mountain View, CA. You will identify, integrate and validate new technologies for future Pixel devices, working with industrial designers and product managers on early definitions and architecture tradeoffs.

You will lead cross-disciplinary discussions across antennas, sensors, silicon, and batteries, delivering iconic design and performance while coordinating with global NPI teams to bring products to market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, related field or equivalent experience.
• 12 years of experience designing mechanical components and assemblies.
• 12 years of experience using CAD tools such as 3D MCAD, NX, Creo, or SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Identify and validate new technologies while collaborating with design and product teams on early product definitions.
• Prototype designs and navigate trade-offs involving batteries, antennas, and sensors.
• Collaborate with peer product architecture leads to stage technology development across multiple years of future products.
• Sell the product goal, build consensus with leadership, and generate excitement for solving complex technical problems.
• Partner with global NPI engineering to transition new product architectures to market.
