Job summary

McKinnon's Market & Super Butcher Shop in Danvers, MA is seeking an experienced Produce Manager to lead the Danvers produce department with hands-on leadership and an entrepreneurial mindset.

The role reports to the Store Manager, partners with Regional Directors, and covers team development, inventory, merchandising, purchasing, pricing and daily operations to deliver quality produce and strong department performance.

Qualifications

• At least three years of management experience, preferably in grocery, produce or another food-retail environment.
• Experience as a Department Manager or equivalent.
• Proven ability to lead a team of four or more employees.
• Strong knowledge of produce products, handling, merchandising and operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and hold Produce Department associates accountable.
• Recruit, hire, train, develop and evaluate department staff with-store leadership.
• Oversee daily operations including purchasing, inventory, merchandising and product rotation.
• Maintain attractive, fresh displays and monitor quality, pricing and availability.
• Drive department sales and profitability while controlling labor and expenses.
• Plan staffing and schedules based on business needs and ensure proper ordering.
