Responsibilities

• Promote trust and respect among associates, with a positive attitude
• Communicate department information to associates
• Establish department performance goals and empower teams to meet targets
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume
• Train associates and participate in performance appraisals
• Create a welcoming environment by answering questions and assisting customers
• Inform customers of produce specials and offer samples
• Review product quality and freshness and take appropriate action
• Create and execute a department business plan and promote sales with management
