Job summary

Zachry Group is seeking a Procurement Specialist II in Pasadena, TX to manage medium to high criticality sourcing events from RFP through award. You will mentor peers, develop negotiating strategies, and maintain supplier relationships while supporting project estimating and procurement execution across the life cycle.

The role requires expert knowledge of procurement processes, strong analytical skills, and ability to engage with internal/external stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years related experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently and proactively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; doc/template workflows helpful.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% as necessary.
• Experience with Oracle, Dragnet, PPMS and other IT systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage contract life-cycle and supplier relationships.
• Develop core contract management processes and monitor compliance.
• Participate in procurement project teams to support compliance.
• Identify issues, propose solutions, and support negotiations.
• Lead procurement execution for medium to high criticality items.
• Issue RFP packages and manage bidder conferences.
• Evaluate proposals and write supplier recommendations.
