Job summary

George's Inc. is seeking an Area Manager to oversee the performance of a plant area, ensuring compliance with federal, state regulations and company policies to deliver wholesome, high-quality products.

You will coordinate production activities, organize front-line supervision, monitor workflows, and drive yields while maintaining safety and sanitation standards. Strong leadership and HACCP knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or related field; 4+ years in progressive roles.
• 3+ years supervisory experience.
• Extensive knowledge of HACCP procedures.
• Extensive knowledge of plant sanitation procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Preferred Poultry or food manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee health and safety regulations within the plant area.
• Coordinate and direct all production activities of the department.
• Organize personnel and assign daily tasks for front line supervisors.
• Monitor production flow and schedules to optimize efficiency.
• Achieve budgeted yields and minimize condemn poundage.
• Maintain manufacturing efficiencies to meet budget objectives.
• Identify improvement opportunities in staffing, costs and quality.
• Ensure product standards and maintain or improve yields.
• Train and develop employees; supervise daily paperwork.
• Develop objectives and monitor results for process improvements.
• Report hazards and ensure timely safety investigations.
