Job summary

Avient Corporation in Avon Lake, OH is seeking a Lead Process Technician to ensure proper process conditions, support manufacturing trials, and assist with initial troubleshooting and setup. You’ll collaborate with Plant Process Engineers and the manufacturing team to address deviations and drive product quality and productivity.

Reporting to Engineering Manager, you will lead changeovers, train staff, and help maintain safety, housekeeping and environmental compliance while supporting

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience in Plastics Industry preferred.
• Manufacturing - Colorant experience preferred.
• Experience leading teams or direct reports.
• Knowledge of safety and environmental guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with Shift/Production Supervisor to prioritize team efforts and meet quality and shipment goals.
• Provide manufacturing operations support and basic technical expertise.
• Train and retrain employees in processes and methods.
• Lead equipment changeovers with production.
• Assist in manufacturing trials and start-ups.
• Report to Engineering Manager and ensure safety and housekeeping.
