Organization Overview:

The Lead Process Technician – Packaging is responsible for leadership, daily operations, development of operators, ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, and ensuring resources are scheduled accordingly per the daily production plan.

Responsibilities:

  1. Support Site Leadership to build a diverse and capable site organization by delivering area operational procedures, quality processes and controls for the Packaging area.
  2. Provide leadership on manufacturing floor ensuring high level of safety, quality, and productivity to maintain reliable supply of products to patients.
  3. Technical leader: Key resource for troubleshooting and functions as the primary point of contact for issue escalation on the shop floor.
  4. Responsible for administering technical training and ensuring all operators are trained to perform tasks.
  5. Assist Supervisor in development and performance evaluations of shift operators.
  6. Key liaison between operations and support functions.
  7. Operate the equipment and lead the shift operations as required to meet production schedule.
  8. Assists in checking execution documentation (PMX, SAP, Cleaning Logs)
  9. Drives key departmental objectives including improving safety performance, reducing deviations, improving productivity, and training compliance.
  10. Acts as back-up in Shift Supervisor absence.

Basic Qualifications/Requirements:

  1. High School Diploma or GED
  2. Basic computer skills (desktop software) are required.
  3. Previous experience in operations or directly supporting a pharmaceutical manufacturing operation.

Additional Skills/Preferences:

  1. Previous experience with highly automated equipment
  2. Previous experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems and electronic batch release.
  3. Demonstrated leadership skills
  4. Ability to effectively communicate (written and verbal)
  5. Flexibility and problem-solving skills
  6. Must Pass a “fitness for duty” physical exam
  7. Ability to work Monday -Friday 8-hours days and could transition to 12-hour days on rotating shift
  8. Ability to work overtime as required
  9. Ability to travel up to 20% during Asset Delivery and < 5% after startup
