Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Technical Plant Manager in Memphis, Tennessee to lead hands-on chemical engineering and production operations, driving process improvements and new product introductions in a dynamic manufacturing unit.

You will mentor operators, manage small capital projects, implement root-cause analysis, and ensure adherence to PSM and environmental standards while delivering reliable, safe, and cost-efficient operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering is required.
• 10+ years of experience in process design and troubleshooting to improve efficiency and safety.
• 10+ years of experience with continuous and batch chemical processes.
• High energy and flexibility to excel in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision and to manage multiple responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Apply process expertise to identify and implement improvements and debottlenecking opportunities.
• Drive process optimization to improve product quality, yields, energy use, and costs.
• Support introduction and relocation of new manufacturing processes.
• Provide operators with process understanding and safety procedures, including training.
• Establish data gathering and monitoring to identify root causes and verify modifications.
• Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations in all processes.
• Collaborate with R&D, project engineers, maintenance, and operations to implement improvements.
• Support process start-ups and optimizations as needed.
