Job summary

Distro is seeking a Lead Hand Process Operator in the United States to oversee circuit operations, enforce safety rules, and supervise on-shift operators. The role involves operating metallurgical unit operations, performing sampling and analysis, and maintaining thorough documentation of process data and tests.

The Lead Hand will take charge in the absence of the Shift Supervisor, lead plant operations, and ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Safety-focused leadership and compliance with safety/environmental rules.
• Ability to monitor process parameters, analyze data and optimize circuit performance.
• Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task and work under pressure.
• Experience documenting logs and maintaining accurate records of plant operations.

Responsibilities

• Operate assigned circuit and manage startup/shutdown of equipment.
• Monitor process parameters and respond to alarms.
• Lead/ supervise Process Operators on shift when Supervisor absent.
• Ensure safety, quality, and environmental regulations are followed.
• Communicate daily process changes to supervisors and management.
