The Lubrizol Corporation seeks a Process Modeling Engineer to lead physics-based and data-driven modeling efforts for enabling scalable chemical manufacturing. You will develop models, run simulations, and collaborate across R&D, operations, and process engineering to translate lab data into plant-ready solutions.

Applicants should have a strong background in chemical engineering, process modeling, and analytics, with experience in simulators and data tools.

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years in process engineering or advanced analytics in chemical manufacturing.
• Proficiency with process simulators: Aspen Plus/HYSYS, CHEMCAD, gPROMS.
• Experience building data-driven models with Python, MATLAB, or ML platforms.

Responsibilities

• Develop and sustain physics-based process models for unit operations.
• Create data-driven models to identify trends and optimization opportunities.
• Run steady-state and dynamic simulations for design, capacity, and debottlenecking.
• Collaborate with R&D, operations, and process engineering teams.
• Establish modeling standards and validation protocols.
