Arakelian Enterprises Inc. is seeking a Lead Process Equipment Operator to manage heavy equipment operations in a municipal solid waste landfill. The role focuses on safe, efficient handling of green waste and organic materials, using loaders to produce high-quality compost and mulch.

The candidate must have at least five years’ MSW landfill experience, strong reading of safety protocols, and excellent communication skills. The job requires physical stamina and may require overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tipping table is clean and orderly for daily loads.
• Keep tipping area clear for loader to remove recyclables.
• Inspect equipment and complete pre-trips and post-trips as required.
• Keep hazardous wastes out of transfer station and landfills.
• Report unsafe conditions to supervisor and work overtime as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Landfill supervisor.

SummaryThe Process Equipment Operator—Lead reports directly to the Operation Supervisor and is responsible for the management and leadership of the Process heavy equipment operations in American Organics. The Lead Process Equipment Operator assists in overseeing the daily operation to ensure the highest standard of safety and operations are followed.
