Job summary

Hitachi, Ltd. is seeking a seasoned Process Engineering Manager to lead and optimize manufacturing processes across production lines. You will drive continuous improvement, oversee design and implementation of new processes and equipment, and mentor a team of process engineers.

The role requires 8–10 years in process engineering, 3–5 years in leadership, and strong Lean/Six Sigma expertise with proficiency in analytics tools. English required; Japanese a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering; Master's preferred.
• 8–10 years of progressive process engineering experience in manufacturing.
• 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
• Proven track record of process improvements with Lean and Six Sigma.
• Experience with process simulation software and statistical analysis tools.
• Fluency in English; Japanese language is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of process engineers.
• Oversee design, development, and implementation of new manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Analyze existing production processes to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Develop and execute strategies for process optimization using Lean, Six Sigma, and automation.
• Establish and monitor KPIs for process efficiency, quality, and cost.
• Collaborate with R&D, production, QA, and maintenance to integrate changes.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality regulations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources.
• Generate reports and presentations on process performance and improvements.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in process engineering.
