Job summary

Kaz Project Operating LLP is seeking an experienced process engineer to support FEED and detailed design for Process & Utility Systems on both onshore and offshore projects. You will ensure alignment with design quality, timing, and cost, while supervising contractor work and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical/process engineering.
• 12+ years of oil and gas industry experience.
• Experience in onshore and offshore detailed design.
• Knowledge of international engineering standards.
• Leadership and staff development experience.
• Experience in high H2S environments.
• Experience with wastewater treatment in upstream facilities.

Responsibilities

• Supports preparation of process specifications for FEED and detailed design of Process & Utility Systems for Onshore and Offshore Projects.
• Generates discipline controls for Company projects across Define/Execute phases.
• Overseeing process engineering design work by the Engineering Contractor to ensure timely completion to codes and specs.
• Monitors contractor and vendor deliverables (PFDs, UFDs, P&IDs, H&MB, data sheets, etc.).
• Verifies process safeguarding complies with codes/standards and approves deviations.
• Ensures use of appropriate discipline standards with international and Kazakhstan norms.
• Contributes process input to studies, operating guidelines, design verification, and technical queries for Onshore/Offshore Projects of NDD.
• Participates in process safety reviews (HAZOP, HAZID, EIA, RAM, QRA).
• Provides process support for development of other discipline docs and project engineering documentation.
• Interprets Codes & Standards and conducts audits to ensure compliance.
