Job summary

Nikkiso Clean Energy & Industrial Gases is seeking a Senior Process Engineer to lead process system design for skid-mounted and modular packages in an EPC setting. You will own process simulation models and validate results against the design basis, vendor data, and operating philosophy.

The role requires strong oil & gas, LNG, cryogenic, or industrial gas process experience and the ability to translate simulation outputs into fabrication-ready solutions. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering
• 10–15+ years in oil & gas, LNG, cryogenic, or EPC industries
• Advanced proficiency in process simulation tools (Aspen HYSYS, Aspen Plus, UniSim)
• Strong experience linking simulation outputs to engineering deliverables
• Experience with skid-mounted systems and modular design
• Strong understanding of engineering workflows

Responsibilities

• Process Design & System Definition: develop PFDs, P&IDs, heat/mass balances, utility balances, line sizing and relief/flare calculations.
• Process Simulation (Core): develop, own, and maintain steady-state/dynamic models using Aspen HYSYS; validate against design basis, vendor data, and conditions.
• Engineering Deliverables: create datasheets, control narratives, cause & effect inputs, and calculations.
• Integration & Coordination: collaborate with Mechanical, I&C, and Design teams to ensure alignment with simulate outputs and operability.
• Vendor & Package Integration: define process requirements for vendor packages and review vendor data against simulations.
• Fabrication & Execution Support: align design with skid fabrication, support FAT, commissioning, startup and troubleshooting.
• Standards & Compliance: ensure compliance with standards and client specs; support safety reviews.
