Job summary

ADM in Velva, ND is seeking a Process Engineer to lead day-to-day operations and drive process performance across the plant. You will monitor costs, yields, quality, and project progress while mentoring frontline teammates and coordinating with contractors and ADM leadership.

The Velva facility is a canola crushing, refining, and biodiesel operation with a 24/7 schedule. Relocation assistance is available and a background check is required as part of the hiring process.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Chemical, Mechanical, or Agricultural Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years in a food processing production environment or similar.
• Proven leadership and commitment to safety and quality.
• Ability to mentor and collaborate with contractors and ADM teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversight of specific processes and projects.
• Project management may require purchasing, equipment installation, and budget tracking.
• Project design, development, and management for operations.
• Conduct optimization assessments to improve energy, yields, and reliability.
• Support capital projects including control strategy development and startup of processes.
• Training and mentoring of colleagues, with potential to oversee 10–30 hourly staff.
• Maintain high availability for a 24/7 operation.
