Job summary

Amcor is seeking a hands-on Printing Technician to support high-volume packaging production in Sarasota, FL. You will ensure safe operations, set up printers and case packers, monitor quality, and lead fellow print technicians to maintain efficiency.

You will train new staff, keep a clean workstation, and follow daily checklists and WebEFF paperwork while adapting to production schedules and color changes. A strong safety mindset is essential.

Qualifications

  • Ability to lead print tech team and maintain safety protocols.
  • Proficient in set up of printers and case packers and monitoring production rates.
  • Commitment to quality and scrap reduction with attention to detail.

  • Maintain production rates with minimal scrap.
  • Supply and stir ink as necessary.
  • Monitor and ensure print quality.
  • Wash blankets and plates as necessary.
  • Clean unused color heads and prepare for next run.
  • Maintain a clean, organized work area.
  • Ensure plates cleaned after use and returned to location.
  • Monitor production schedule for special instructions.
  • Perform plate and size changes.
  • Fill out daily checklist and WebEFF paperwork.
  • Provide leadership and direction to other print techs.
  • Maintain professional, motivated work environment.
  • Train new printing technicians.
  • Complete tasks as required by management.

  • Ensure proper set up of printers and case packers.
  • Ensure proper production rates with minimal scrap.
  • Supply and stir ink as necessary.
  • Monitor and ensure print quality.
  • Wash blankets and plates as necessary.
  • Ensure all color heads not in use are cleaned and ready for the next production run.
  • Maintain your section in a clean orderly fashion.
  • Ensure printing plates are cleaned after each use and returned to proper location.
  • Monitor the production schedule for special instructions.
  • Perform plate changes, size changes.
  • Required to fill out daily checklist, trend board, first piece inspection, and WebEFF paperwork.
  • Provide leadership and direction to other print techs.
  • Maintain a professional, motivated, and positive working environment.
  • Train new printing technicians.
  • Complete assigned tasks as required by management.
