Job summary

Ally is seeking a hands-on Principal Software Engineer to lead the design and delivery of enterprise automation and AI solutions. You will architect intelligent workflows, drive scalable platforms, and mentor teams across AI-enabled automation initiatives at scale.

You will partner with business, product, risk, and engineering stakeholders to identify high-value opportunities, define solution approaches, and ensure secure, compliant delivery in a hybrid environment.

Qualifications

7+ years of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
8+ years of software engineering experience, including large-scale enterprise applications and platforms

Responsibilities

Lead architecture and delivery of enterprise automation solutions spanning workflow orchestration, RPA, APIs, and AI-powered decisioning.
Design intelligent automation capabilities using LLMs, agent-based patterns, document intelligence, and retrieval-augmented solutions.
Partner with business, product, risk, and engineering to identify high-value opportunities and priority use cases based on ROI and feasibility.
Establish scalable engineering patterns for automation platforms, including reusable services, APIs, observability, resiliency, security, and CI/CD.
Mentor engineers, guide technical direction, and raise the bar on software design and delivery across teams.
