Job summary

Ally Financial is seeking an experienced AI security engineer to secure the end-to-end AI/ML lifecycle across data, models, and deployment pipelines. You will implement defenses for AI/LLM systems, establish governance, and strengthen DevSecOps practices across teams.

The role requires hands-on security engineering expertise with production AI/ML experience and collaboration with AI/ML, Cloud Engineering, DevOps, and business stakeholders to deliver secure and reliable technology solutions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on DevSecOps or AI/ML security in an enterprise environment.
• Hands-on experience securing AI/ML or LLM systems in production.
• Strong knowledge of AI/LLM security, MLOps/MSecOps, AI governance, and secure RAG/agentic architectures.
• Experience with AWS, Terraform, Docker/ECS/EKS, CI/CD platforms, SAST/DAST/SCA, vulnerability management, and secrets/network security.
• Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Secure the end-to-end AI/ML lifecycle, including data, models, deployment pipelines, LLM integrations, and production monitoring.
• Implement protections for AI/LLM systems, including prompt injection defense, guardrails, output validation, and adversarial testing.
• Establish AI governance covering model risk, privacy, explainability, bias monitoring, and audit requirements.
• Lead DevSecOps improvements with CI/CD security, vulnerability management, and shift-left security.
• Provide 24x7 incident response leadership and cross-team collaboration to deliver secure, reliable solutions.
