Job summary

Pharmaron is seeking an Associate Principal Scientist, Process Development in Coventry, RI on-site. You will apply your expert chemistry skills to solve high-complexity development issues and lead experimental programs from design to GMP-scale transfer.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior staff, coordinating cross-functional teams, and delivering robust data packages for client updates and final reports. A PhD or MSc in chemistry with extensive laboratory experience is required.

Qualifications

• Solve high-complexity chemical development issues for assigned projects.
• Design and execute core experiments, interpret results, and plan additional experiments.
• Mentor less experienced staff and contribute to team deliverables.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams and document work for reports and presentations.
• Adhere to GLP/GMP and internal policies in all activities.

Responsibilities

• In a multidisciplinary environment, solve problems of higher complexity with limited guidance.
• Develop and optimize chemical processes and scale-up workflows.
• Communicate results and coordinate with project teams to ensure timely delivery of data and reports.
• Mentor junior staff and supervise 2-3 person teams on projects.
• Support client updates and final reports with data presentations.
