Job summary

Pharmaron is seeking a Senior Scientist, Process Chemistry to lead API manufacturing technology transfer, process development, and optimization in Coventry, RI. You will guide cGMP/GLP-compliant workflows and mentor junior scientists, delivering robust processes through quality-by-design principles.

You will perform experiments, characterize impurities, troubleshoot across cross-functional teams, and present data clearly to internal and external stakeholders, contributing to high-quality drug

Qualifications

• BSc/MSc/PhD with pharma experience or academia
• Strong knowledge of analytical techniques (NMR, HPLC, GC, DSC, XRD) and MS Office Suite
• Familiarity with DoE software is an asset
• Process modelling tools (DynoChem) are a plus
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet timelines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead API manufacturing technology transfer and process development
• Oversee cGMP/GLP-aligned processes and documentation
• Mentor junior scientists and students
• Perform experiments and purification to develop robust API processes
• Characterize impurities and degradants to ensure product integrity
• Lead troubleshooting with cross-functional teams
• Present data summaries to internal and external stakeholders
• Maintain safety and lab practices
• Work independently and collaboratively to achieve goals
• Perform other related duties as required
