Job summary

Pharmaron seeks a Senior Scientist II, Process Chemistry in Coventry, RI to contribute to API development within a multidisciplinary team. The role emphasizes solving moderately complex chemical problems, developing and scaling processes, and documenting results for reports and regulatory studies.

The position requires a PhD in Chemistry with at least 4 years industrial experience, strong analytical skills, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• PhD in Chemistry or a related field.
• Minimum 4 years of industrial process chemistry experience.
• Proven ability to apply analytical and physical chemistry skills to solve complex problems.
• Strong cross-disciplinary teamwork and reporting abilities.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Organizational, planning and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• In a multidisciplinary environment, solve moderately complex problems for assigned projects with guidance from a supervisor.
• Demonstrate competency in core chemistry lab skills for development and scale‑up of chemical processes.
• Execute experiments, interpret results, and plan additional experiments to address moderate complexity problems.
• Communicate and collaborate with cross‑functional groups to document scientific work for reports, manuscripts, and presentations.
• Document and report results in alignment with department practices and governing procedures, including release testing of API for studies or GMP manufacture.
