Job summary

Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Project Manager - Ports Electrification to lead the expansion of electrification across North America, starting on the West Coast. You will guide complex port and maritime projects, coordinate diverse teams, and deliver to clients including port authorities and utilities.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, business development, and mentorship, with a hybrid in-office work model and a strong focus on decarbonization and shore power initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in electrical infrastructure, transportation electrification, ports, maritime facilities, utility infrastructure, or related markets.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain through reciprocity.

Responsibilities

• Serve as project manager for major port and maritime electrification projects.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams including electrical, civil, structural, environmental, systems, and construction management professionals.
• Manage project scope, budget, schedule, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Oversee planning, design, permitting, procurement, construction support, and commissioning activities.
• Support alternative delivery and progressive delivery projects.
