Mott MacDonald seeks a Ports & Coastal market Senior Project Manager in the Washington, DC metropolitan area to lead complex marine, waterfront, and resilience infrastructure programs for federal, state, and commercial clients. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Ocean Engineering, or related discipline.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• 10+ years of experience leading coastal, waterfront, marine, resilience, or related infrastructure projects.
• Experience with federal/state/government and commercial clients.
• Knowledge of coastal processes, shoreline stabilization, flood risk management, and climate adaptation.

Responsibilities

• Lead project delivery for marine, waterfront, and resilience infrastructure projects from planning through design and construction.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality and risk to ensure outcomes.
• Serve as primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and partners.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams of engineers, scientists, planners, and environmental specialists.
• Support business development, including client relationships, proposals, and capture planning.
• Provide technical leadership for coastal resilience and related projects.
• Oversee permitting coordination and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor junior staff and grow the coastal engineering team.
• Collaborate with regional and national practice leaders to expand presence.
