Job summary

Wood Rodgers is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead the Southern California land development practice from San Diego, building a high-performing local team and expanding client relationships. You will guide project pursuits, manage stakeholders, and ensure profitable, high-quality delivery while leveraging Wood Rodgers’ multidisciplinary resources across the region.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field with CA PE license.
Proven leadership in Southern California land development with client development skills.
Deep knowledge of entitlements, approvals, infrastructure, permitting, and delivery.

Responsibilities

Lead growth of Southern California land development practice through business development and client engagement.
Develop relationships with developers, public agencies and key clients to secure opportunities.
Direct proposals, scope/fee, contracts, and client presentations.
Collaborate with leadership to identify market opportunities and expand presence.
Provide executive oversight of project delivery, ensuring quality and profitability.
Recruit, mentor, and build a high-performing local team.
