Job summary

RigUp seeks a Principal Electrical Engineer in Long Beach, CA to lead electrical engineering delivery across a portfolio of oil, gas, and chemical projects. You will provide advanced technical leadership, oversee a team of engineers and designers, and ensure safe, compliant, and timely project execution.

You will mentor engineers, coordinate with clients and management, and drive performance to meet project objectives and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Required: BS or MS in Electrical Engineering.
• Required: 12+ years of experience in oil and gas.
• Required: Professional Engineer (PE) or P.Eng status in US/Canada.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical engineering delivery across oil, gas, and chemical projects.
• Manage and mentor a team of engineers and designers to ensure safe, on-time, and within-budget delivery.
• Review deliverables and guide technical direction to meet safety standards and client expectations.
• Coordinate with project management and clients to achieve project objectives.
• Direct workshare, assign tasks, and supervise progress across multiple projects.
