Job summary
Appalachian Regional Healthcare System is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality primary care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary setting in North Carolina. You will perform comprehensive assessments, diagnose, treat, prescribe medications, and educate patients while coordinating with physicians and specialists.
Applicants should have a Master's or Doctorate in Nursing, valid NC NP license, BLS and ACLS, and at least two years of acute care experience.
Qualifications
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- 2 years of experience in acute care preferred.
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse and a Nurse Practitioner in the state of North Carolina.
- BLS required at time of hire.
- ACLS required at time of hire.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments including history, exams and tests.
- Formulate diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Prescribe medications and provide health education to patients.
- Monitor responses and adjust plans as needed; coordinate with the care team.
- Consult with physicians and specialists for complex cases.
- Maintain accurate electronic health records and ensure privacy compliance.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and apply evidence-based practices.
