Job summary

Messer Americas in Bridgewater, PA seeks a Lead Pressure Vessel and Piping Engineer to provide technical expertise across plant static equipment, including design, fabrication, repair, operation and code compliance for cryogenic air separation, hydrogen production and CO2 purification.

You will lead capital projects, develop preliminary equipment designs and cost bases, support operations on mechanical integrity, mentor engineers, and ensure QA/QC and regulatory standards are met.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science/Engineering in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering (or related).
Minimum 7–15 years of experience in piping and/or pressure vessel engineering.

Responsibilities

Lead technical authority for pressure vessel and piping engineering across multiple capital projects.
Provide design criteria, technical requirements, and cost/schedule assessments for projects.
Review and approve engineering deliverables, vendor designs, and QC documentation.
Lead supplier audits and factory acceptance testing for critical equipment.
Mentor engineers within the discipline andsupport knowledge development.
