Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Stevenson, AL is seeking an experienced Pressure Vessel & Mechanical Integrity Engineer to lead our site’s integrity programs. You will oversee the Pressure Vessel and Tank Integrity Program and the Safety Relief Valve program, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal policies.

You will coordinate inspections, manage documentation, develop risk-based inspection plans, and partner with Operations, Maintenance, Engineering, and EHS to mitigate risks.

Qualifications

• BS in mechanical engineering or related field required.
• Strong knowledge of pressure vessel, storage tank, piping, and pressure relief device inspection.
• Familiarity with ASME BPV Code, API inspection standards, and OSHA PSM.

Responsibilities

• Lead site Pressure Vessel and Tank Integrity Program.
• Manage Safety Relief Valve Integrity Program including inspections and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with ASME, API, OSHA PSM, and internal standards.
• Coordinate inspections of pressure equipment with Operations, Maintenance, and external contractors.
• Develop inspection schedules and risk-based inspection plans.
• Maintain asset records, reports, and regulatory documentation.
• Act as SME for mechanical integrity and relief systems.
