Job summary

The Salvation Army Southern California is seeking a Site Supervisor to lead preschool and early childhood activities, ensure safety, and supervise teachers, staff and volunteers on site. You will coordinate classroom routines, monitor health and safety, and ensure compliance with CACFP, CDE, CDSS and local regulations.

Ideal candidates will have a California Site Supervisor permit, CPR/First Aid, and a year of experience with children.

Qualifications

• Must pass live scan/background check.
• Current Site Supervisor permit or higher issued by California teaching credentialing.
• Immunizations: Pertussis, Measles, influenza; TB test upon hire.
• CPR and First Aid certifications.
• CA Food Handling certificate.
• One year experience working with children.
• Valid California Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Prepare children for success with a high-quality curriculum and safe environment.
• Follow DoE/SS guidelines and health/safety codes governing child care programs.
• Motivate children and manage behavior in a developmentally appropriate way.
• Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and community members.
• Utilize standard office productivity software for record-keeping.
• Assist with program administration and daily operations as needed.
