Child-Parent Centers, Inc. in Tucson, AZ is seeking qualified Head Start teachers to provide high-quality early education for preschoolers. The role runs Monday through Friday, mid July through mid June, with occasional evenings or weekends for special events.

Support from a lead teacher and an education coach helps implement the Languages of Learning curriculum. Minimum qualifications include an AA in Early Childhood Education or related field (with 18 credits in ECE), a year of preschool

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age
• Must read, write and speak English
• Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field with min 18 credits in ECE/child development
• One year of work experience with preschool children
• Submit AZ DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card prior to start
• Valid AZ driver’s license with excellent driving record
• Able to pass company physical and DES background check
• Demonstrates accountability, safety focus, teamwork, adaptability and lifelong learning

Responsabilités

• Implement Languages of Learning curriculum for 6.75 hours per day four days a week
• Plan lessons and document child outcomes; maintain a safe, healthy classroom
• Engage families and foster partnerships; support learning at home
• Monitor and record child progress; coordinate with supervisor and coach
• Lead classroom activities when Lead Teacher is unavailable
• Attend professional development opportunities and participate in parent conferences and home visits
