Job summary

The Learning Experience is hiring an experienced Lead Preschool Teacher to create a warm, developmentally appropriate classroom where young children learn, grow, and thrive. You’ll use our L.E.A.P.

Curriculum® and a collaborative center team to focus on meaningful relationships with children and families. Ideal candidates meet NY lead teacher requirements, have early childhood training, and bring strong classroom management and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Must meet New York State requirements for a lead teacher.
• Experience in preschool/childcare/daycare or early childhood classroom.
• Early Childhood Education or Child Development degree, CDA, credential, or NY-compatible coursework/experience.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Passion for helping young children learn and develop.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and coworkers.
• Must meet background screening, health, and training requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate classroom.
• Bring L.E.A.P. Curriculum® to life through hands-on lessons and activities.
• Support children's social‑emotional, language, cognitive, and physical development.
• Create a positive classroom environment where every child feels welcomed and supported.
• Observe children's development and communicate progress with families.
• Maintain classroom routines, learning materials, and required documentation.
• Partner with fellow teachers and center leadership to create an exceptional family experience.
• Follow New York childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements.
