Water Lily Learning Center - Avondale is a Gold-rated Step Up to Quality program in Cincinnati, serving families with a preschool curriculum focused on family relationships and community connections.

The Lead Preschool Teacher position requires an experienced, credentialed educator to lead a 3- to 5-year-old program, implement curriculum, assess children, and mentor staff while engaging Avondale families according to DCY and Gold standards.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years lead teaching experience in a licensed program.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Creative Curriculum lesson plans aligned with Ohio standards.
• Maintain safe, developmentally appropriate learning environments.
• Use DCY-approved tools like Teaching Strategies GOLD to document progress and share results.
• Engage families through ongoing communication and conferences.
• Coach and supervise assistant teachers to maintain a collaborative classroom.
