Job summary

Greater Midland is seeking a GSRP Lead Teacher to provide high-quality education and care in the Early Childhood Education program. You will implement a consistent daily routine, plan developmentally appropriate learning opportunities, and supervise assistants, all while modeling servant leadership and upholding the organization’s values.

You will maintain COR Advantage documentation, coordinate weekly lesson plans, engage families, and ensure compliance with Michigan licensing and GSRP

Qualifications

• Must be at least 19 years of age.
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or child development (transcript documents major).
• Possess a valid Michigan teaching certificate and ECE endorsement (ZA or Zs, Birth-K or PK-3).
• Complete 24+ hours of professional development per year.
• Experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Maintain assessment, tracking and documentation of activities and milestones in COR Advantage for each child.
• Produce weekly comprehensive lesson plans aligned with center curriculum.
• Oversee conflict resolution steps and classroom licensing guidelines.
• Engage with parents/guardians via written, verbal and social platforms; build relationships.
• Ensure all GSRP guidelines and requirements are met; attend meetings/trainings.
• Supervise Assistant Teachers, Volunteers, Co-ops/Interns; ensure high quality standards.

Education
