Job summary

Valley of the Sun YMCA seeks a Master Teacher to lead early learning classrooms for ages 1–5, coordinating curricula and providing coaching to assistants. The role requires adherence to AZ licensing rules and YMCA standards, plus strong family communication.

You will mentor staff, ensure documentation accuracy, and support program quality within a supportive, mission-driven YMCA environment in Scottsdale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s in child development, early education, education, or related field.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card and TB test prior to working in ratio.
• Minimum 12 months of knowledge and experience in early childhood education.
• Current First Aid and CPR/AED certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead an early learning age group (infants to preschool) ensuring high-quality education.
• Coordinate and implement curricula aligned to Arizona standards.
• Mentor, coach, and supervise assistant teachers in the classroom.
• Maintain parental communication tools and student portfolios.
• Adhere to ADHS licensing rules and YMCA childcare standards.
