Job summary

Ivy Kids in Richmond, TX is seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher to plan and implement the daily curriculum, create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment, and supervise the assistant teacher in the classroom.

You will maintain classroom records and developmental checklists, ensure ASQs are conducted on time, communicate with families via the parent app, and partner with staff to meet Ivy Kids standards and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Must be able to repeatedly bend, stoop and run; must repeatedly lift and carry children up to 50+ pounds.
• Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with children and parents.
• The lead teacher must maintain at least 24 hours of training each year.

Responsibilities

• Understands and complies with all Ivy Kids Brand standards & State Standards
• Plans and implements the Ivy Kids curriculum activities
• Keeps accurate and current records of each child’s developmental milestones, student accidents, anecdotal records, and attendance.
• Ensure ASQs are conducted on time.
• Has knowledge of state standards and the ability to follow Ivy Kids Critical Procedures.
• Provides daily communication to parents via the parent app.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Assists in training new staff and familiarizing them with program practices, forms, and schedules.
• Observes, records, and reports to the director any significant behavior of children or staff that could adversely affect the quality of care provided
