Job summary

Ivy Kids in Texas is seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher who will plan and implement the daily curriculum for a classroom and create a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. You will supervise an assistant teacher and maintain classroom records while modeling Conscious Discipline.

Responsibilities include following Ivy Kids standards, conducting ASQs on schedule, communicating with parents via the app, and participating in staff trainings and meetings.

Qualifications

• Must be able to repeatedly bend, stoop and run; must repeatedly lift and carry children up to 50+ pounds.
• Must be able to effectively interact and communicate with children and parents.
• Lead teacher must maintain at least 24 hours of training each year.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements the Ivy Kids curriculum activities.
• Keeps accurate and current records of each child’s developmental milestones, student accidents, anecdotal records, and attendance.
• Ensure ASQs are conducted on time.
• Has knowledge of state standards and the ability to follow Ivy Kids Critical Procedures.
• Provides daily communication to parents via the parent app.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings.
• Assists in training new staff and familiarizing them with program practices, forms, and schedules.
• Observes, records, and reports to the director any significant behavior of children or staff that could adversely affect the quality of care provided
