Primrose School of Leesburg at Potomac Station in Leesburg, VA is seeking an experienced Early Preschool Teacher (2-year-olds) to join our dedicated team. You will guide young learners with patience, creativity, and structured play, helping them develop social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills in a warm, supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with toddlers (ages 2–3) in a childcare or preschool setting.
• Strong understanding of early childhood development.
• Ability to manage a classroom with energy, structure, and warmth.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patience, flexibility, and a genuine love for working with young children.
• Preferred: CDA, Associate’s, or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

Responsabilités

• Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment for 2-year-old children.
• Plan and implement age-appropriate lessons and activities that support social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.
• Encourage language development, independence, and positive behavior through structured and play-based learning.
• Manage classroom routines including meals, nap time, diapering/toileting, and transitions.
• Build strong, positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
• Observe and assess children’s development, maintaining accurate records and sharing progress with parents.
• Handle challenging behaviors with patience, consistency, and understanding, especially with strong-willed personalities.
