The Preschool Lead Teacher is responsible for leading and facilitating classroom activities designed to promote social, physical, and intellectual growth in young children aged three to five. Responsibilities include engaging with children to foster a positive learning environment, maintaining a safe and stimulating classroom, and developing supportive family relationships.

Minimum Qualifications include:

• Early Childhood Teacher Certification (Formally Group Leader Qualified)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Teaching ability
• Proficiency in computer applications
• Positive driving record, proof of insurance, and valid driver's license

Preferred Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, Special Education, Family and Child Development, or Child Psychology, or current Level Three Early Childhood Professional Credential, or relevant coursework. Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Essential functions involve ensuring compliance with state and local regulations, applying principles of child development, guiding children in all development areas, modeling trauma-informed care, facilitating family engagement, and collaborating with colleagues.
