Job summary

Primrose of Manhattan is seeking a Lead Preschool Teacher to work with 2-5 year olds at East 82nd Street. You will create a fun, safe environment with a daily schedule to develop children’s confidence and independence.

You’ll guide children through small group instruction and collaborate with your co-teacher to implement the Balanced Learning curriculum. The role offers a set schedule and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field is required; MS preferred.
• Valid NYS B-2 Teaching Certificate or a study plan eligible.
• At least 2 years of classroom teaching experience; CPR/First Aid certification required.

Responsibilities

• Spend days building genuine relationships with each child.
• Help children learn language, literacy, science, life skills.
• Collaborate with co-teacher to implement Balanced Learning curriculum.
• Maintain a well-kept classroom that encourages exploration and confidence.
• Discover what works best for each child as you teach about the world.
