Job summary

Brella is hiring a Preschool Lead Teacher for our Hollywood location, serving children aged 3–6 in a play-based program inspired by Montessori and Reggio Emilia. You will lead with a Co-Lead, co-planning curriculum and delivering high-quality experiences.

The role emphasizes collaboration, communication, and a loving, developmentally appropriate approach to early learning in a thriving team.

Qualifications

• 12 ECE credits and 1–2 years of Lead experience in a licensed child care facility.
• Meets California Department of Social Services Licensing requirements.
• Patient, calm demeanor with every child.
• Experience in collaborative leadership.
• Strong communication, problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Familiar with Reggio, RIE or Montessori approaches (preferred).
• Comfort with using technology in the classroom.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, loving environment for ages 3–6 in partnership with Co-Lead Teacher and Teachers.
• Co-plan curriculum with clear division of ownership and cohesive classroom experience.
• Partner daily with Co-Lead to align procedures and day flow.
• Adapt Brella curriculum to age group needs and interests for strong engagement.
• Participate in workshops, trainings, and Lead Teacher meetings; relay updates to co-teachers.
• Manage classroom documentation boards, materials, and labeling.
• Be the point of contact for family communication with curriculum and development updates.
• Mentor and train teachers; support teacher evaluation process.
• Collaborate respectfully with coworkers to foster a positive center culture.
• Model safety and adhere to Title 22 and Brella policies.
