Job summary

BlueStar Resort & Golf in Queen Creek, AZ, is hiring a Cook 4 to join our Food & Beverage team. The role focuses on food preparation, cooking, and serving under Kitchen Manager or Executive Chef supervision.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, plus 3 years cooking in a commercial kitchen.
• Current Food Handlers card.
• Ability to read safety rules and manuals.
• Effective speaking before groups.
• Ability to work under pressure and make decisions.
• Flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and a team player.

Responsibilities

• Master all kitchen stations and plating.
• Teach staff station assignments and recipes.
• Lead kitchen service, read tickets, monitor times.
• Develop weekly and daily specials with management.
• Ensure service standards meet guest and employee expectations.
• Maintain clean, sanitary kitchen environment.
• Assist with monitoring food prep and cooking techniques.
• Carve, portion, garnish plates; read cooking instructions.
• Be prepared to cover for sous chef when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
