Job summary

Western National Insurance Group seeks a Manager, Premium Audit to lead the premium audit team and ensure timely, accurate audits across large commercial accounts. You will act as the technical SME for complex audits and stay current with regulatory changes, while guiding quality assurance and process improvements.

You will collaborate with underwriting, claims, billing, and loss control to inform sound underwriting decisions and deliver exceptional customer service, mentoring staff and driving

Qualifications

• Eight-plus years of premium audit experience.
• Experience auditing complex commercial accounts.
• Expert knowledge of premium audit methodologies and regulatory frameworks.
• Strong understanding of workers’ compensation and/or general liability classifications.
• Knowledge of insurance industry practices, underwriting concepts, and premium audit standards.
• Demonstrated leadership experience, including coaching, mentoring, leading change, and influencing cross-functional partners.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Leads, coaches, mentors, and develops a team of premium auditors with training and workload management.
• Serves as technical SME for complex premium audits and regulatory interpretation.
• Identifies trends and recommends process, workflow, and system improvements.
• Oversees audit quality through reviews and QA initiatives.
• Monitors team performance metrics and reports on accuracy, productivity, and turnaround time.
• Resolves billing disputes and escalated audit concerns.
