KLA Industries, Inc. in Columbus, OH is seeking a seasoned Preconstruction Manager to lead estimating and preconstruction efforts for large multi-family residential, apartment, and senior housing projects.

You will manage the entire estimation process, build critical industry relationships, and present cost strategies directly to clients. Responsibilities include leading estimates, value engineering, bidding and procurement, scheduling, takeoffs, client presentations, and quality control to

Qualifications

5 to 10 years of experience specifically in large multi-family residential, apartments, HUD, OFHA, and senior housing estimating.
Deep understanding of current market pricing and unit pricing.
Proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

Lead, create, and finalize comprehensive project estimates.
Research specified materials, source alternatives, and develop value engineering ideas with associated costs.
Build qualified subcontractor bid lists, proactively call subcontractors to secure bids, and analyze submitted bids and scopes.
Develop preliminary preconstruction schedules and determine project staffing and general condition requirements.
Complete detailed On-Screen Takeoffs.
Prepare professional presentation documents and clearly present cost information to clients.
Review, analyze, and correct estimates prepared by other team members.
