Job summary

AM&M in New Kensington, PA seeks a seasoned quality inspector with leadership to guide a crew in manual and CNC CMM programs. You will translate blueprints into precise inspection plans, own first-article and in-process checks, and drive corrective actions with production to uphold ISO 9001/AS9100 quality.

You bring 3–5+ years in precision inspection, strong blueprint reading, and solid PC-DMIS/MCOSMOS skills. A safety-first, 5S mindset and clear communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 3–5+ years in manufacturing inspection with hands-on manual and CNC CMM expertise.
• Leadership experience in supervising, mentoring, and training teams.
• Excellent blueprint reading and attention to measurement details.
• Strong metrology software skills with PC-DMIS and MCOSMOS preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent; ASQ Certified Quality Inspector is a plus.
• Clear written and verbal communication across teams.

Responsibilities

• Guide and mentor inspectors—set priorities and share best practices.
• Program and run manual/CNC CMMs to verify tight-tolerance parts.
• Transform drawings into actionable inspection plans.
• Own first-article, in-process checks, and final audits.
• Flag nonconformances and coordinate corrective actions with production.
• Maintain meticulous quality records aligned to ISO 9001 and AS9100.
• Model safety, 5S, and continuous improvement across quality.
