Job summary

Senior Metal Bellows in Sharon, MA, is seeking a Production Supervisor to lead daily operations across machining and inspection, translating priorities into actionable shop-floor tasks. You will balance hands-on leadership with big-picture planning, ensuring quality, on-time delivery, and adherence to safety standards while driving continuous improvement.

The role requires at least 5 years in manufacturing, strong machining/inspection knowledge, and proven ability to guide teams using ERP data

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong understanding of machining operations (CNC milling/turning) and/or inspection processes is highly desirable.
• Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) to support decision-making.
• Proven ability to lead teams, enforce standards, and maintain accountability on the shop floor.
• Strong problem-solving skills with root-cause analysis and sustainable solutions.
• Ability to remain composed and communicate clearly during high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations across machining and/or inspection with inter-department collaboration to ensure alignment with production priorities, customer commitments, and quality standards.
• Translate daily production priorities into clear, actionable direction for the team, ensuring labor and resources are aligned to the most critical work.
• Ensure effective communication across shifts, including clear pass-downs of priorities and deviations from standard work.
• Maintain process discipline by ensuring accurate movement of parts and adherence to routers, prints, and work instructions.
• Identify and address workflow disruptions, addressing root causes rather than temporary workarounds.
• Monitor flow of work between operations, identifying bottlenecks and adjusting to protect delivery and throughput.
• Promote and enforce a safe working environment, ensuring PPE and safety procedures are followed.
• Utilize ERP dashboards and production data to inform decisions and improve performance.
• Lead and develop team members through coaching and accountability on the shop floor.
• Facilitate team meetings focused on safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement.
• Support internal audits and ensure compliance with quality and operational standards.
