Job summary

Construction Material Testing seeks a Precast Concrete Inspector II to lead plant quality control for precast and prestressed production, or perform owner and agency inspections for DOT programs. You verify prestressing operations, review mix designs and strength records, accept or reject finished products, and maintain QC records for PCI and DOT certification.

Qualifications

PCI Quality Control Personnel Certification Level II required and currently valid.
Minimum 2+ years in a certified precast or prestressed plant.
Working knowledge of PCI MNL-116/MNL-117 and state DOT precast specifications.

Responsibilities

Verify prestressing operations: strand certification, tensioning, detensioning, and transfer strength.
Review mix designs, batch tickets, and strength records.
Accept or reject finished products against specs and shop drawings.
Dispost repairs and maintain plant QC records for PCI/DOT programs.
Supervise Level I inspectors and assign daily coverage.
Lead owner/agency inspections at external plants when required.
