Job summary

Sharp Metro in San Diego seeks a Supervisor for the Preanalytical Lab to manage daily activities across multiple lab departments. Lead AP personnel, CLS, CPT, and lab assistants while assisting the Director in planning and achieving department goals.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Biological Science, 5+ years hospital lab experience, and 3+ years of supervisory leadership, plus an active California CLS Generalist license. Strong budgeting skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Biological Science is required.
• 5+ years technical experience in hospital laboratory environment or equivalent.
• 3+ years supervisory experience in hospital laboratory or equivalent.
• Experience with fiscal and budgetary issues in the work unit.
• California Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS) Generalist license - REQUIRED.

Responsibilities

• Provides management support and coordinates the daily operations of multiple laboratory departments.
• Supervises daily work activity of AP personnel, CLS, CPT, lab assistants in those departments.
• Assists Director/Manager with operational planning and provides daily work directions to achieve department objectives.
