Blue Origin's Emerging Systems team is building the hardware platforms for our TeraWave program, including pre-silicon emulation, FPGA prototyping, and end-to-end build flows. You will define strategy, select tools, and stand up a nightly image service to support the program's validation efforts.

We seek senior engineers with FPGA/RTL experience who can lead platform work across cross-site teams, drive autos, debugging, and test harness development while collaborating with RF, DSP, and lab teams

Qualifications

• BS+10, MS+8, or PhD+6 years in Electrical or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Hands-on FPGA implementation tools and flows experience.
• Strong RTL skills in SystemVerilog or Verilog.
• Experience deploying FPGA prototyping or emulation flows.
• Experience bringing up large digital designs on FPGA or emulation platforms.
• Proficiency in Tcl, Python, or similar for build automation.
• Lab bring-up, debug, and test instrumentation experience.

Responsibilities

• Define and build pre-silicon emulation and prototyping capability.
• Develop platform strategy, flows, and infrastructure; lead trade studies.
• Evaluate emulation/prototyping platforms and boards.
• Own end-to-end build flow; timing closure for large SoCs.
• Adapt designs for platform; clock/reset restructuring.
• Define rate-reduction for DSP/beamforming prototyping.
• Build hardware-in-the-loop platforms with real converters and RF.
• Establish nightly image service with versioning and QA tests.
• Develop transactors, speed bridges, and test harnesses.
• Manage capacity and forecast future needs.
• Debug at platform level; triage failures with teams.
• Partner with RF/antenna/DSP for lab integration.
• Produce and maintain user documentation and onboarding.
